I’m always impressed when parents have the restraint to be surprised by the sex of their baby in the delivery room. But this family was really surprised, to even be there in the first place! This little girl decided to make her entrance three weeks early! She just couldn’t wait to meet them! And with good reason, quite honestly. They are awesome – such a great, supportive team for each other already. Mama has this mommy thing down, even her own mom was impressed. Daddy, too. And, he is just in love with his little girl, too, there was no hiding that. It was easy to see all of the love in this house!
Anyway, thanks, J and J, your baby is darling. I know you know that, I only told you ten million times. And, thank you, baby H, for waiting until I was done! Can’t wait to show you the rest of these. And there are a lot!

Surprise! | Bucks County Newborn Photographer
June 20, 2010I was so happy to be going back to see this family on Saturday! Mr. X and his parents are some of my most favorite clients ever! I wind up chatting with both parents half of the time because they are so cool. Mom and Dad have made all of these really cool things for Baby X, from drool bibs to shoes! Meaning, they created their own patterns, sewed them (Dad is really the one who can take the credit for this part), everything. They’re just cool, interesting and fun. Not to mention, they impress neurotic little me with how laid back they are! (They let me put temporary tattoos on their six month old baby. Let me? They were happy to, because they had their own!) I was also happy once I got there, because this boy who I photographed as a newborn has become the sweetest, smiliest, most darling boy ever. They say he was putting on a show for me, that he’s not always that sweet, but I don’t believe them. Anyway, K family, it was so great to hang out with you and chat. Hope you love these as much as I do! Many more to come, but I was excited to get a few quick ones up to show you.
I’m biased, I admit it. But I still think I was lucky to have an entire morning with this sweet, pretty girl, walking all over Philly, changing outfits, finding great little spots, laughing, and having a little snack on a gorgeous nearly summery morning. I’m biased because I’ve been best friends with her mom since we were fourteen, and remember visiting miss O in the hospital when she was born. But, I still know a pretty girl when I see one. So, thanks, Miss O, for entertaining my son, for your trick where you got yourself to not smile so much (we should all have such problems!), for wearing those awesome boots even though it was swelteringly hot, and for freaking out the angry guy behind you and your mom on the steps with your silly discussion. And thanks to you, Awesome Friend, for packing up good outfits and letting your kid stand in an alley behind a restaurant in her good clothes. Love you both!

March 1, 2010I spent Sunday morning with the sweetest and hungriest one month old cutie! His mama and grandmom were on hand to feed this boy many bottles as we all marveled at his hungriness! This boy is definitely growing; at this rate, he’ll be a basketball star in no time! His mom was great at keeping up – she sure seemed more like an old pro than a first time mom. Baby D is one loved and lucky boy.
Don’t miss the awesome mural in his nursery, done by his very talented aunt! S, I hope you enjoy then sneak peek!
Smiley baby boy – Main Line Baby Photographer
February 21, 2010This morning, I got to spend some time with baby J and his parents. Finally! Our original shoot date had to be switched after we got an additional oh, 20 inches or so of snow! So, I was glad to finally get to meet this smiley man and his parents. He was a delight! What a darling little boy you have, R and J. It was his parents quick thinking that got me there earlier than we had originally planned, but just in time to capture all of the happiness that this darling little guy was beaming out! There was definitely a lot of love going on at this place! R and J, it was great meeting you and talking mohels. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek.
How could you not love this smile? So cute!

January 2, 2010Today, I returned to the home of a recent maternity client to photograph their gorgeous 17 day old son. He was as darling as a baby can be! I could not get over his precious little lips, his long eyelashes, and most of all, his little swirl of hair, right in the middle of his forehead. Once he was asleep, he was sound asleep, and as long as he was kept warm until settled, he mostly let us do what we wanted to. He didn’t like his beauty sleep being disturbed, but it’s not like he needs to get any more beautiful! E and R, it was great to meet your little man today. I hope you enjoy the photos – I knew I wouldn’t be able to wait! I can’t wait to show you the rest of them. :)

See the little curl!? <3

A whole lotta love.

Nice To Meet You – Philadelphia Area Newborn and Tattoo Photographer
December 13, 2009Yesterday, I met this 13 day old cutie and her parents. Her dad had come home all the way from overseas just to meet her! He’s in the Army and came home to meet his newest sweet pea and spend some time with his wife and family. This little sweet pea must have wanted to spend every waking moment with Dad, because I sure couldn’t get her to sleep! No matter, though. With Mom’s gorgeous ink, we got some stunning photos anyway.

She did sleep a little bit, but she only wanted to snuggle her cute little face into the pillow. So, she wasn’t happy with me moving her so that I could see her cute little face.

Eventually, though, she gave me a million dollar smile. What a lucky capture!

And one of all three of them. Love.

It was so nice to meet you, E and T. Enjoy the rest of your time together!
A boy and his mama – Philadelphia Area Child Photographer
November 21, 2009Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting this sweet boy and his mama, to try to get some of the last bit of pretty fall color and some photos for the upcoming holidays. Mr. Nate was quite seriously observing everything in the park: planes, his choo choo, and the squirrels, and telling me about all of them. He must have been pretty wary of me, because it was hard to get him to crack a smile at first. Until I threw up some leaves and yelled about how yucky they were (thanks for the tip, Mama). Belly laughs galore. After that, he was all smiles! Although it was hard not to be with such a fun, sweet mama. I could absolutely feel the love between them; you can see how much fun they have together.

I hope you did not miss those lashes, dear reader. They are a thing to behold. Gorgeous! K, it was great meeting you guys yesterday! I hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

And, because we all know that no post is complete without a photo, here’s a reason to go check out this sweet baby’s gallery: Baby piggies. Who can resist cute little baby piggies, especially when they are poking through like little pearls?

Tattooed Parents Special!
September 30, 2009As you may have already seen in the investment category, I am currently running a special promotion for tattooed parents who have a newborn baby. As this is one of my favorite subjects to photograph, I would like to build up my portfolio in this area, and am offering a free session to any tattooed parents (both parents do not need to be tattooed, but in that case, the tattooed one has to be willing to be in the photos) with a newborn baby. If you are pregnant, contact me to schedule this tattooed parent session now. We will work around your due date, and of course, be flexible with the session booking, as we all know that babies don’t always arrive when the doctor tells them to.
I will require a signed model release allowing me to use these photos in my portfolio, and you’ll receive 20 proofs to view for free! I look forward to hearing from you. You can use the “contact me” tab to send me an email.
