I was thrilled when S asked me to do her maternity photos. She's an amazingly fun, sweet person to whom I just happen to be almost related. Her late hilarious, sweet father was best friends with my uncle for most of their lives, so I've known her nearly as family for her whole life. And, now she's going to be a mama in a few short weeks. I know that she and her husband will be the best parents! They're already great parents to Oliver and Scout, their rescue dogs. Can't wait to meet the little one, guys. (And, I'm still betting it's a girl!) Hope you enjoy the sneak peek.
My favorite from the session!
I met Ms. O today along with her very cool parents. Her dad had me laughing the whole time and it felt like I'd known her mother forever. And, as usual, I had to rush home and check out the pictures right away! How could I not? Between this pretty girl and her cute little upside-down-heart-mouth and her dad's awesome tattoos, I didn't know which pictures to look at first!
J and M, enjoy your sneak peek! Can't wait to show you the rest of them!
and my personal favorite
I've known M for as long as I can remember. And for as long as I can remember, she has loved horses. When I was a kid, she would drive me to the barn in her orange sports car to babysit for her adorable daughter while she got her riding fix.
Today, she runs a farm with horses, an emu, chickens, pigs, two dogs and a very cute chinchilla. She is an amazing, gentle soul. She is incredibly kind and incredibly strong, she is beautiful, and is someone I admire and enjoy talking to.
I had the pleasure of watching her with the animals and photographing her with them. You can see how much she loves these animals, and how beautiful they are. She says that they are like her babies, and you can tell that they know it!
Today, I returned to the home of a recent maternity client to photograph their gorgeous 17 day old son. He was as darling as a baby can be! I could not get over his precious little lips, his long eyelashes, and most of all, his little swirl of hair, right in the middle of his forehead. Once he was asleep, he was sound asleep, and as long as he was kept warm until settled, he mostly let us do what we wanted to. He didn't like his beauty sleep being disturbed, but it's not like he needs to get any more beautiful! E and R, it was great to meet your little man today. I hope you enjoy the photos - I knew I wouldn't be able to wait! I can't wait to show you the rest of them. :)
See the little curl!? <3
A whole lotta love.
Yesterday, I met this 13 day old cutie and her parents. Her dad had come home all the way from overseas just to meet her! He's in the Army and came home to meet his newest sweet pea and spend some time with his wife and family. This little sweet pea must have wanted to spend every waking moment with Dad, because I sure couldn't get her to sleep! No matter, though. With Mom's gorgeous ink, we got some stunning photos anyway.
She did sleep a little bit, but she only wanted to snuggle her cute little face into the pillow. So, she wasn't happy with me moving her so that I could see her cute little face.
Eventually, though, she gave me a million dollar smile. What a lucky capture!
And one of all three of them. Love.
It was so nice to meet you, E and T. Enjoy the rest of your time together!
