Philly Baby Photos

I find that I do a much better job of taking baby photos than I do of blogging baby photo sessions. Yes, I could outsource that task, I suppose, but in order for the blog post to sound like me (is that I good thing? Debateable. Moving on), I would need to write out the things that come to mind either after the session or while I am organizing the blog post. So, instead, it just doesn’t get done in an expedient fashion.
Which is why you are seeing this blog post close to a year after the session. Many of the babies that I blogged - okay, well, all of 2020 blog posts - were taken after this guy’s session. Also, as I type this, I realize I never blogged his parents’ maternity session so I guess my to do list just got longer. Guys, don’t focus on negativity! You’re seeing these adorable photos now. :P That’s what matters!

I love how he looks like an itty bitty angel here. We obviously used a lot of blue in this session, but I love how varied the looks are.

Both of this baby’s parents are big sailors, and I like how this image feels nautical to me, but not over the top or cheesy.

Oh. Oh, I really love this image. The tones are gorgeous and so is his little face here. Just perfect.

You may feel like this image feels familiar to you. That’s because it’s in the carousel of images on the main page. That spot is reserved for my favorite images, obviously. And I do love both the simplicity of this awake baby image as well as the adorable expression on his face.

Awake, peaceful, pointed out piggies. Yep. This one is a favorite, too.

And, froggy. That’s the name that photographers call this pose. It’s usually a “love-it-or-hate-it” thing, I find. And I LOOOOOOOOVE it. Especially since I know I’m doing it safely.
