Newborn twins are amazing - I often wonder if it's true that they feel calmer when they're next to each other, or about the twin bond. Twin language. Twin telepathy. And of course, when I was a pre-teen myself, my best friend and I resembled one another, so we always used to tell people that we were twins. Twins are fascinating to me. As a mother, it's hard to imagine how it feels to have two babies inside of you, feeling two babies' movement. And, now that they're here - double luck, double happiness. Twins are obviously much more work but double the joy.I love when I get to photograph twins. I get to see if they're calmer when they snuggle up, I get to see how they react to each other, and I get to do my favorite pose, where they fit together in a yin-yang position which helps you to envision what the tight quarters of their in utero home may have looked like on the inside. Well, these babies didn't want to do that pose. :P So I have many other photos to show you.When I talked to these babies' mama, she told me that their nursery was decorated in a Harry Potter theme. Unfortunately, I've never read any of the Harry Potter books. (I know, don't stone me!) Luckily, we have very close friends who are complete "Potterheads" and they even had Potter swag and many suggestions on how to use it.I talk a lot about how I like to be challenged by a theme or a prop or an idea. This one was a challenge for me, because I don't know what it means if you're a Griffyndor. I did my research and worked hard to get it right for this mama and her precious little Harry and Hermione. No, silly, those aren't their names. But don't you kind of think that would be cool?So, here is the session, with Harry Potter themed sets, and some non-HP sets, too. Enjoy. First, The Boy aka baby Not Harry. Perfection. Next, The Girl. Her-mi-Not-Me, we shall call her. I love this one so much.
